Today, we open a new chapter at Circular Rubber Technologies. Reflecting on the past five years since our founding in late 2019, it’s astounding to consider the milestones we’ve achieved together. From initial conversations about reusing end-of-life tires to developing our revolutionary thermo-mechanical rubber devulcanization technology—our journey has been nothing short of remarkable.
With the support of an incredible team and through strategic partnerships, we’ve initiated the construction of the world’s first facility dedicated to devulcanizing mining truck tires. We’ve also secured over CAD$8.5 million in government grants and forged strong ties with global tire manufacturers and other industrial stakeholders. These accomplishments have not only propelled us forward but have laid a robust foundation for our next phases of growth.
As I transition to focus more intensely on advancing our technology, building out our IP position and ensuring we remain at the forefront of rubber recycling innovation, I am thrilled to announce Paul Tournier as Circular Rubber’s new CEO. Paul’s strategic acumen, deep industry knowledge, and proven leadership capabilities make him the ideal leader to take the helm. Based in Vancouver, Canada, Paul is strategically positioned to drive our North American operations and spearhead our expansion into international markets including Australia and Chile.
Under Paul’s leadership, Circular Rubber will transition from startup to scale-up. This includes operationalizing our first plant in Red Deer, AB, securing additional financial resources, and building a team poised for international success. Paul will drive our global expansion, enhance our partnerships to ensure that Circular Rubber continues to lead the rubber revolution and push for broader adoption of devulcanized materials.
